Pisces Season: Two Eclipses, one tender time

What if sensitivity isn't weakness—it's data gathering?

I know you know this already and are probably tired of hearing about it—the world feels heavy right now. Melancholy? Abject horror? Something in between?

I'm trying to let the moments of joy (Bad Bunny's Super Bowl show!) feel absolutely effervescent, nourishing, and sustaining!

And while the astrology of 2026 indicates that the weather will remain stormy, I'm looking to Pisces season for inspiration and escape.

On February 18th, we slip from the visionary future-casting and quirky smarts of Aquarius season into the dreamy, idealistic, and deeply intuitive waters of Pisces. Energetically, this feels like a big shift!

The four weeks we spend in Pisces invite us to turn toward our felt senses, toward the liminal spaces, toward an inner knowing that there is more to this world than our material reality. Spirituality and daydreams come in like the ocean's tide.

Pisces rounds out the astrological year as the last sign of the zodiac. In the northern hemisphere, it marks the final weeks of winter and the last days before the spring equinox—a time of transition and change. It is still winter, but the ground is thawing, the sky is brightening. One day may be cold and snowy, while the next is bright and sunny!

What I love about Pisces...

... is that it is fully here for all of it. Pisces feels intuitively, responds with creativity, and opens its heart with compassion and sincerity. Ruled by Jupiter, the planet lends its largesse, optimism, and expansive, inspirational qualities to this sign. Jupiter's influence on Pisces encourages us to wander through dreamscapes, serve and support others, and follow our feelings with sensitivity and care.

🌚 Having just had a solar eclipse the day before Pisces season began (Feb. 17), and with a total lunar eclipse coming in the heart of Pisces season on March 3rd, this is also a time to be cautious. 🌚🌞🌝 Our light sources—the Sun and Moon—are casting shadows on one another. The celestial lights appear to be flickering! Overwhelm, hypersensitivity, and the dissolution of boundaries can be intensely destabilizing.

Quick Aside: These eclipses are happening in different places—beginning a new cycle and closing out an old one. If you'd like to know more about how each of these is influencing your chart—get in touch! We can do a personal deep dive or an ask me anything session.

With the instability of eclipse season, I believe Pisces energy can provide the antidote:

  • Be comfortable in the in-between spaces and times → pause, take intentional breaths, use strategic procrastination.

  • Listen with an open heart to what your emotions are telling you, what your body is telling you—and honor them both.

  • Give yourself the freedom to tune into your most compelling dreams and get curious about where they want to take you. Free-write, journal, sketch, carve out time for daydreams and just see what happens.

  • Tap into your creative energy, whether that's art, food, movement, music, or some other form of out-of-the-ordinary exploration. Be childlike in your choice and observe what shifts for you… what opens up?!?

Pisces season invites us to connect to God/Source/Consciousness/Divinity—whatever language resonates—that already resides in all of us and connects us in unseen ways. This is a time of intuition, spirituality, transcendence, and creativity.

Chill out, check in, and observe with curiosity what emerges.

If you'd like to explore where the ocean-like waters of Pisces are in your chart, send me a note and we'll chat!

In the meantime, here's a Pisces season practice for you to try!

A Eclipse Season Somatic Practice: The Tide Practice

This month, practice moving with—not against—what's flowing through you.

Find a quiet moment. Stand or sit comfortably, and place one hand on your heart, one on your belly. Close your eyes if that feels good.

Take three slow breaths, noticing the rise and fall—like waves. Just notice.

Now ask your body: What wants to move right now?

Don't think it. Feel it. Maybe it's a stretch, a sway, a gentle rock. Maybe your shoulders want to roll, or your spine wants to undulate. Maybe you want to curl inward, or open your arms wide. There's no wrong answer.

Let your body move however it wants to move. Small or large. Slow or flowing. For 1-2 minutes, follow the impulse without judgment. You're not performing; you're listening.

When you're done, place both hands on your heart and take one more breath. Notice: What shifted? What softened? What became clear?

Use this practice when:

  • You feel overwhelmed or ungrounded during eclipse season

  • You're stuck in your head and need to drop into your body

  • You need to know what you're actually feeling beneath the noise

  • You want to honor the Piscean invitation to trust your inner tides

The practice isn't about "fixing" anything. It's about remembering that your body has its own wisdom, and sometimes all it needs is permission to move.
