You Are the Revolution - Aquarius Season is Here
It’s mid-winter in the Northern Hemisphere (even if it doesn’t feel that way where I live!), and January 19th marks the beginning of Aquarius season.
With its sharp intellect and future-orientation, Aquarius is all about imagining new ways of being and doing that break with tradition (goodbye, Capricorn season!) and building structures that serve the collective.
How might you do this in your own life? What structures need to be reimagined to bring you closer to your vision?
Aquarius is a fixed sign, reminding us that we’re in the middle of winter. There’s a stability here — we’ve settled in. Aquarius carries that same steadiness… and perhaps even stubbornness. After all, once it’s done its outside-the-box thinking and identified the strategies it believes will usher us into the utopia it envisions - it will not be deterred!
What I love about Aquarius season
Intellect and ideas are stimulated right now.
Need a fresh perspective on an old problem?
Are your New Year’s resolutions already feeling burdensome?
Looking for a dose of creative quirkiness that inspires you to think differently?
Aquarius energy is here for it!
Where is Aquarius in your chart? Which area of life (i.e., house) is being activated by this solar cycle?
Free-thinking, inventive, exploratory, and curious Aquarius energy is exactly what we need to inspire us through what is traditionally a dark and cold time of year. Ruled by Saturn — the most distant planet we can see with the naked eye — Aquarius can also be cold, detached, and aloof. When disregulated, its “I’m gonna do it my way” approach can alienate others and undermine its own desire for connection. Watch for these tendencies, but embrace the creative thinking, visionary future-casting, and straight-up intelligence of this month’s energy.
Who doesn’t want more of that?!
Moons & Transits
The next Full Moon is on February 1st in the sign of Leo. Warm-hearted leadership shines its light to support our visions and progress. What might authority and leadership (Leo) look like in service of the future you’re dreaming of (Aquarius)?
The New Moon + eclipse in Aquarius are on February 17 telling us: "You are the revolution." What does that feel like in your body? What are you going to begin now to sustain that revolutionary spirit?
On January 26, Neptune enters Aries. On February 17, Saturn joins Neptune in Aries. These two planets have been finishing a long cycle in Pisces — and now, it’s time to act. To do. As astrologer Pam Gregory says, it’s time to "make real the dream.”
These are BIG transits, beginning a 14-year cycle for Neptune and a 2.5-year cycle for Saturn. Where is Aries in your chart? What’s being activated as these potent forces of idealism, intuition, compassion, and boundlessness (Neptune) meet structure, discipline, and tradition (Saturn) at the very beginning of the Zodiac — in the fiery, warrior sign of Aries? Do you have any placements at early degrees of Cardinal signs? If so, you'll especially feel this!

Aquarius Somatic Practice: Changing the Pattern
Aquarius invites us to interrupt autopilot and experiment with new pathways — mentally and physically.
For the next 3–5 minutes, try this:
Stand or sit comfortably. Take a moment to notice how you’re positioned.
Then, deliberately change one small thing.
Switch which leg is crossed
Move to a different chair or location
Turn your body to face a new direction
Place one hand somewhere unexpected
Pause and breathe. Notice what shifts — in your thoughts, your energy, your sense of possibility.
Now, imagine one structure in your life that feels rigid, outdated, or inherited rather than chosen. Without trying to fix it, simply ask your body: What wants to be done differently here?
Stay curious. Let the answer be subtle, strange, or unfinished.
Aquarius doesn’t require immediate action — it asks for awareness, experimentation, and the courage to think (and feel) beyond what’s familiar.
